About KPV
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a tripeptide derived from the C-terminus of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It enters cells directly without a membrane receptor and inhibits NF-κB nuclear translocation - shutting off downstream pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6) at the transcription level.
KPV is unusually small for a peptide and shows oral bioavailability in research models. It is widely studied in gut-inflammation (colitis), skin-inflammation, and systemic-inflammation protocols, often as an alternative to broad immunosuppressants because it calms inflammation without crashing protective immune signalling.
